Learn more about us,
Committed traveler
While preparing for our various trips and discussing (a lot), we quickly came to an agreement on several points: We participate as little as possible in overtourism, we take our time, and we educate ourselves about local life and culture. No flights every week, no cities visited in an afternoon, no countries barely crossed just to take photos at Instagrammable spots.
We therefore gathered information, read, watched, and listened, and slow travel or slow tourism (slow travel or slow tourism) emerged as a good starting solution for more responsible travel and sustainable tourism.
Specifically, here are the actions we have implemented:
Purchase of as much eco-friendly equipment as possible
When possible, purchasing second-hand equipment, borrowing, etc.
Travel from France to Brazil by boat rather than by plane
We are not perfect, but we try, we educate ourselves, and we commit.
The starting point
Why do we travel?
To understand, to feel, to live gently. A project that has matured from these desires: to spend a year in South America.
It was a goal but above all the start of a project larger than us.

And now…
the road continues
We move forward not knowing exactly where we will be in a month.
That’s it, our project: to explore, document, and meet.
To build a vibrant narrative, one step at a time.

We prepared ourselves with our knowledge and research, created maps of the places and routes we wanted to explore, gathered information, and packed our bags.
Save up to go far away
The crossing that changes everything
We could have taken the plane... but we preferred to cross the Atlantic by boat.
Three weeks away from the world, watching the ocean go by, letting our rhythms of life change gently.

We discover Brazil by moving slowly.
There’s no rush. We learn the rhythm, we listen to the locals, we adapt, we tell ourselves every day that we did the right thing by leaving.
First steps,
first questions
The sweetness of the journey
Between two cities, we stop for a month to work on a farm.
Learning, planting, observing, understanding the earth: a reminder that travel is not just a movement, but also a way of learning.

Tristan
Nice to meet you! My name is Tristan, I am 26 years old, and this blog is the reflection of a project: a year-long trip to South America.
Not to escape, nor to "leave everything behind", but to meet what I do not yet know.
I have always been curious about many things, without ever managing to choose a single path. Travel has appeared to me as a way to reconcile my desires: to discover, to understand, to meet. I was fortunate to go on a first trip, alone in South Asia for three months. It was neither a challenge nor an achievement, but a significant experience that changed my perspective on the world. I am one of those who learn by walking, observing, and living. Traveling with a backpack is, for me, a simple and sincere way to listen to what surrounds us.
I do not have grand lessons to provide, only the desire to discover without disturbing, to see without imposing myself, and, if the opportunity arises, to participate in respect for those who welcome me.
This blog is a travel diary, a record of what I am experiencing, and perhaps an invitation for others to take the time to look differently.

Mathilde
My name is Mathilde, I am 24 years old, and for me, traveling the world is realizing a dream. The dream of a little girl who had never left her home country but grew up reading adventure stories and watching cartoons about different cultures around the world.
So, when I started my higher education, I made a promise; once my studies were finished, I would leave! I step out of my imaginary world to explore the real world.
My first step towards backpacking was my participation in the Redbull challenge - Can you make it?: 7 days, without money, without my phone, in teams of 3, we had to travel from Budapest to Berlin while completing challenges and passing through checkpoints.
This short but intense adventure fueled my desire for travel and adventure.
